KAREN ELIZABETH MILLER ATTORNEY AT LAW

Karen Elizabeth Miller has previously held Board Certified status as a Trial Attorney in the 20th Judicial Circuit both as a Private Attorney and a Deputy Assistant Public Defender. Prior to coming to Lee County, Karen served as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami, Tampa and Naples, and had a successful practice in Naples, Florida.  Karen has been licensed by the Florida Bar since 1986. 

Karen is a National Member of the "Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution"  having been admitted by lineage on October 13, 1979 (National Number 641497) and also a descendant of a signer of the Declaration of Independence.  Her grandfather was a West Point Graduate who fought at Normandy during D-Day in WWII. Married with two children, Karen has resided in Fort Myers for the past eleven years. Karen's husband is a retired Federal Agent having also spent part of his thirty-four years in law enforcement with the Lee County Sheriff's Office, leaving as a Detective Sergeant  to become a member of the United States Customs Service and Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Karen's practice is primarily in Criminal Law, but she has extensive experience in Family Law and Civil Law as well. Karen is also licensed to practice in Federal Court both here in the Middle District of Florida and in the Southern District of Florida. Karen prides herself on her extensive experience in jury trials and her knowledge of the law. Karen's favorite quote- "An injustice anywhere, is an injustice everywhere!" (Dr. MLK)
